Donna’s Slow Cooked Meatless Green Salsa Tacos

25 January 2016:  This recipe is handy if you are going to be out for a while but back in time for a quick yet fulfilling dinner.  You can substitute the meatless crumbles for ground beef or turkey; however, these crumbles are just as tasty as meat and we cannot tell the difference!  You can find them in the frozen food section of most organic food stores.  Best, Donna:


Donna’s Slow Cooked Meatless Green Salsa Tacos
Ingredients:
One 11 ounce package Beyond Meat's Beyond Beef, Feisty (or Beefy) Crumbles flavor, meatless protein product
1 cup corn kernels
1 teaspoon cilantro
1 cup Herdez (or other brand) salsa verde
Corn taco shells
Toppings:  Shredded cheese, salsa, lime wedges

Method:
Spray slow cooker with cooking oil.  Add all ingredients except taco shells and toppings and mix well.  Cook on High setting for 2 hours.  Spoon filling into shells, add toppings and serve immediately.

Serves 4.
